OCTRU Medical Statistician
I graduated from Durham University with an MMath in Mathematics in 2014. Following this, I studied for my PhD at King’s College London and recently submitted my thesis. My PhD research concerned the use of Bayesian mixed models to combine both randomised controlled trial data and routine clinical practice data extracted from an electronic health record to provide less biased and more generalisable estimates of treatment effectiveness. The modelling approach was applied to consider the effects of drugs used in the management of dementia.
I joined OCTRU and CSM in October 2017.
